meet the Founder

Avelune began with one camera, one vision, and a belief that the most meaningful photographs are the ones that feel real.

Hi, I'm Sanjay, founder and lead photographer of Avelune Weddings.

I started out shooting weddings on my own. My goal was simple: capture the day as it really happened, not a performed version of it. That means real moments. A father's hands shaking as he walks his daughter down the aisle. A best friend crying during the vows. The quiet seconds right after "I do."

This is the heart of Guided Editorial, our style of shooting. Guide gently, then step back and let the moment happen. It is still how our whole team shoots today.

the journey of Avelune

Avelune was built on the belief that wedding photography should preserve more than beautiful portraits. It should preserve relationships, emotions, traditions, and the quiet moments that often become the most meaningful memories.

Since then, we've grown from a single photographer into a full team shooting across the GTA, Ontario, and into the US. What's grown is the team. What hasn't is the eye for honesty over performance, and the care for the traditions that make your day yours.

Our Style

Timeless. Honest. Emotional.

Every wedding is photographed with the same philosophy: authentic storytelling, thoughtful composition, and timeless editing. Rather than following trends, we create imagery designed to feel just as meaningful decades from now as it does today.

“From the moment we started getting ready to our final dance, Sanjay was simply there, never once getting in the way, but somehow catching every moment that mattered. We didn’t just get photos back, we got our whole day back.”

the feeling we Protect

Because a wedding day moves fast, and most of it is gone by the time the reception ends. We’re there to slow a few seconds down: your dad’s toast, the look on your partner’s face before you walk out, the cousins who always end up dancing first. And then we hand them back to you in a way you can keep. That’s the whole job, really: not just beautiful images, but the feeling of being back in that room, every time you open the gallery.
